AXA signs MoUs to boost access to health and develop microinsurance in Egypt

AXA Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lead Foundation, a local not-for-profit MFI, to further develop microinsurance products, with a special focus on women. They also plan to launch health awareness campaigns for Lead's 200,000 micro-entrepreneurs.

AXA Egypt have also signed a MoU with the local Ministry of Health and Population. The agreement signals AXA's intent to invest EGP 1bn into the health sector in the ultimate goal of supporting the govenrment in its mission to provide Egyptians with quality health services.

IAA webinar series starts today: second part on 7 February

The International Actuarial Association's (IAA) Microinsurance Working Group is hosting a two-part webinar series on "Techniques to help you better understand risk and opportunity".

The first webinar is taking pace today at 1pm CET and will cover how to use a toolkit to analyse risk and walk through a common inclusive insurance example. The second part will walk through more real-life examples such as credit life and health insurance products. That will take place on Thursday, 7 February at 1pm CET.

Cenfri partners with FSD Uganda to design and deliver Microinsurance Challenge Fund

FSD Uganda have launched the Microinsurance Challenge Fund (MCF), aimed at increasing the availability and usage of appropriate insurance solutions to the underserved in Uganda. The MCF is a response to nudge the market towards more innovative solutions to address the mismatch between the demand and supply of inclusive insurance services.

Cenfri have partnered with FSD Uganda to provide technical support and guidance on the design and delivery of the challenge fund.
