The Microinsurance Network (MiN) and the Insurance Development Forum (IDF) have built a particularly close partnership. Both play central roles in advancing inclusive insurance, yet their distinct contributions are not always well understood. This article examines how the two organisations complement each other – leveraging MiN’s knowledge and networks alongside IDF’s implementation capacity and convening power – to expand microinsurance, strengthen climate and disaster risk finance, and reduce protection gaps in emerging economies.
