New name for microinsurance consortium and venture incubator

The Microinsurance Consortium has named its microinsurance venture incubator (MVI), which is aimed at extending insurance protection, Blue Marble Microinsurance.

The consortium announced the formation of the MVI in Davos, Switzerland on January 22, 2015.

UNDP confirms importance of microinsurance in new development agenda

The Microinsurance Network's development coordinator Jenny Nasr attended some of the panel sessions at the OECD Forum in Paris last week, where heated discussions took place around climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and tackling inequality.
 
There was unanimous recognition at the Forum that the key events that will take place in the coming months will be a unique opportunity to put the world on an “inclusive and sustainable course”.

Regulation, climate change and long-term investments in infrastructure hot topics at Insurance Europe's 7th International Conference

The Microinsurance Network supported Insurance Europe's 7th International Conference in Luxembourg this week.
 
Around 400 insurance companies and associations from across the world came together to discuss issues around the globalisation of the insurance industry and challenges in regulation.
