The Network is looking for pictures and videos on the theme "The value of microinsurance" to be posted on the Network Facebook page.
Don't forget to include a caption to explain the story behind the picture as well as the credits. The best photos will be displayed in a prominent spot on the new Network website later this year (pending your permission).
This photo was taken along the road just outside of Silago, in Southern Leyte, Philippines. When a farmer relies on his water buffalo to work the land, the death of an animal has major implications for the farmer's livelihood, and this is where an insurance to protect against such a loss can add great value.
