In 2018, 18 insurance leaders, intermediaries, and regulators from 14 different countries took part in the inaugural Microinsurance Master leadership training programme, praising the value, quality, and return on investment with a 97% recommendation rating.
Said one of the participants: “If you’re a decision-maker, sitting at your table, looking at your numbers and asking yourself, ‘why is my microinsurance department not working out?’, you should join this programme.”
Microinsurance Master is the sector’s first comprehensive leadership programme, and is now accepting applications for its 2019 edition. The programme starts next February with two weeks of immersion training at Pioneer Microinsurance in the Philippines, an inspiring champion that grew from 250,000 to 18 million microinsurance enrolments in just five years. Upon their return home, participants receive 8 weeks of tailored online coaching to help implement their key learnings.
Microinsurance Master wants to inspire and strengthen emerging and established leaders so that their organisations thrive in providing more and better risk alleviation solutions to the low-income communities they serve. The programme is organised in partnership with the Microinsurance Network and fellow Network members Pioneer Microinsurance, the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility, the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman and ADA.
