Membership

The Microinsurance Network is a not-for-profit membership-based association. By becoming a member, you will be joining our community of like-minded individuals and organisations. Together, we seek to contribute to poverty alleviation by helping vulnerable households all over the world to become more resilient when confronted by the risks of daily life as well as catastrophic disasters.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds and countries, and from organisations of all sizes throughout the insurance value chain.

The Microinsurance Network is increasingly dependent on membership dues. Along with the generous funding provided by the Government of Luxembourg, membership fees provide the financial foundation that is needed for implementing the long-term strategy developed by our members and the Executive Team. Without your contributions in cash and in kind, much of our work would be impossible.
 
We have two categories of membership: individual and institutional. 
 
Which category of membership is appropriate for you?
 
Institutional membership
  • Your interest in the Network is professional
  • You may wish to use the Network to further your organisational goals, whether these derive from corporate social responsibility, overseas development assistance goals, or soliciting work from other members
  • More than one person in your organisation will benefit from the membership
Institutional members can:
  • Participate in the June Member Meeting and the General Assembly
  • Vote at the General Assembly
  • Attend Expert Forums
  • Benefit from discounts, where applicable, at regional workshops
  • Be elected to the Board of Directors
  • Opt to be listed in our online Member Directory*
  • Represent the Network at global events namely those of the G20- Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI)
  • Include up to 20 contacts under your organisation’s membership at no extra cost
  • Benefit from a 25% discount on advertising space in our online weekly newsletter**
  • Use the Network Member logo on your organisation’s website, in email signatures and in correspondence (letterheads)

  • You do not intend to use your Network membership for professional purposes
Individual members can:
