IDF-MiN Country workshop: Inclusive insurance in the Philippines

 

On the 3rd and 4th of August, the Microinsurance Network and the Insurance Development Forum jointly promoted the Inclusive Insurance Workshop in Manila, Philippines. The workshop was hosted by the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific (IIAP), with the support of UNDP, the World Bank’s Global Index Insurance Facility (GIIF), the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA), the Philippine Life Insurance Association (PLIA)

Over the course of two days, nearly 100 participants in-person and 88 virtual attendants gained insight into the development of the inclusive insurance market in the Philippines, took stock of the projects currently in place in the country, and discussed existing challenges and strategies to address them in order to reach scale.
