Microinsurance Network appoints new ED

Monday, May 8, 2017
The Microinsurance Network is delighted to announce the appointment of Katharine Pulvermacher as the new Executive Director of the Microinsurance Network.
A development economist by training, Katharine brings to the Network a wealth of experience in leadership and management, organisational strategy development, multi-stakeholder engagement and coordination, as well as research and thought leadership, with a focus on market intelligence in emerging economies.
The Network would like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to Henk van Oosterhout for his commitment to the Microinsurance Network and the extensive effort he has invested in the organisation as Interim Executive Director over the last year. Henk´s term comes to an end this month, but he has generously agreed to take part in the upcoming June Member Meeting, giving members the opportunity to bid him farewell personally at the event.
Katharine´s first day in office was May 2, and the coming three weeks will constitute a period of transition to ensure a smooth handover in leadership at the Secretariat.
