June Member Meeting 2016 comes to a close

The Network's annual June Member Meeting, held in Königstein, Germany came to a close this past Wednesday, 22 June following a two-day agenda filled with insightful presentations, debates, discussions, networking and moments of leisurely entertainment mixed in for good measure. Around 50 participants contributed their time and expertise, to make this a meaningful and dynamic member meeting as well as a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Luxembourg insurance industry is intrigued by microinsurance

Jenny Nasr, Senior Development Coordinator, represented the Microinsurance Network at a conference organised by ILAC – the Luxembourg Institute for Actuaries and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) on the last week at the Ernst & Young headquarters in Luxembourg.
 
She presented the definition of microinsurance and examples of delivery channels, the latest findings in microinsurance coverage and gross written premiums in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

6th Consultative Forum: Regulators and industry convey microinsurance experiences in Africa

Around 70 participants gathered from many African countries to attend the first day of the 6th Consultative Forum on “Innovative products for the emerging consumer”, in Marrakesh on 11 May 2016, co-organised by the Microinsurance Network, the International Association for Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) and the African Insurance Organisation (AIO).

RFPI expands knowledge sharing on inclusive insurance globally

Providing access to savings, credit, remittance and insurance is considered instrumental to achieving the poverty alleviation goal. Among these tools, access to inclusive insurance has received the least attention even as it offers significant impacts.
