Our business model is based on collaboration and partnership. Some of our partners provide financial support, others collaborate actively with us on joint programmes, and some do both. We gratefully acknowledge all of their support: together, we can achieve a world where people of all income levels are more resilient and less vulnerable to daily and catastrophic risks.

Government of Luxembourg
Through the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs – Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, the Government of Luxembourg has provided our core funding since our inception as an independent non-profit organisation in 2012 through successive framework agreements, and we thank them for their ongoing trust and financial support, without which the Network would not be where it is today.

Munich Re Foundation
Munich Re Foundation has worked with us since 2004 and launched the International Microinsurance Conference (IMC) in 2005 in cooperation with the  CGAP Working Group on Microinsurance. Today, the Microinsurance Network is proud to be recognised as a co-organiser of the IMC.

Our Consultative Forums are implemented in partnership with the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). A2ii itself is funded by the governments of Germany and the Netherlands and housed within GIZ.

In addition to the Consultative Forums, the IAIS, which is housed at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), supports the Network through our guest membership of the Financial Inclusion Working Group.
UN Environment’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance Initiative (UNEP/PSI) and the Microinsurance Network have joined forces to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In August 2017, the Microinsurance Network became a UNEP/PSI Supporting Institution.
Insurance Development Forum
The Microinsurance Network works in partnership with the Insurance Development Forum (IDF) and joined its Operating Committee (OpCo) in 2019.

InsuResilience Global Partnership
InsuResilience is a partner in organising our Consultative Forums and the Network will join as members of the partnership in 2019.

Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion
The Microinsurance Network is an affiliated member of the Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), where it is a member of the SME Finance and Financial Consumer Protection and Financial Literacy subgroups.
