The Microinsurance Network supported Insurance Europe's 7th International Conference in Luxembourg this week.
Around 400 insurance companies and associations from across the world came together to discuss issues around the globalisation of the insurance industry and challenges in regulation.

WHO underlines role of health in sustainable development at 68th World Health Assembly

During the opening ceremony of the 68th World Health Assembly, both Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel and World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General, Dr Margaret Chan emphasized the importance of health in sustainable development and the need for strong resilient health systems. Because resilience is inherently linked to minimising risks, microinsurance plays a major role in strengthening health programmes worldwide.

Regulators and industry to meet on incentivising African insurers to serve the unserved at 4th Consultative Forum

The 4th Consultative Forum, organised by the Microinsurance Network, together with the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), will take place from the 27th to the 28th May 2015  in Tunis, Tunisia. The Forum is being organised in partnership with the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) and the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility.
