June Member Meeting

The Network's June Member Meeting (JMM) is the annual meeting for the members of the Network to gain insights into key areas of development in the sector, participate in discussions on topical issues in a relaxed and friendly professional environment, and connect and develop personal relationships with important players in the field.

JMM 2021

This year’s JMM will be taking place online from Monday 7 June to Thursday 10 June 2021.

Our theme for this year – Staying the Distance – is a reference to the determination, energy and fortitude that our community brings to pursuing our goal of building the resilience of every man, woman and child through the provision of good insurance and risk management. It is also a reference to the miles that separate us due to the Covid-19 pandemic, travel restrictions and the unequal distribution of vaccines. However, we know from last year’s experience that technology can bring us together more effectively than ever before.

The event will be spread over four days, as we will be repeating some sessions to accommodate different time zones. We’ll also be providing simultaneous translation for some sessions depending on the preferences of the participants.

We will be covering topics such as financial inclusion and the private sector, the role of the ESG requirements in driving scale in inclusive insurance, the launch of our new community platform and much more!

Members can register in the members' area.

JMM 2020

Our 2020 annual Network member meeting (JMM 2020) took place virtually on 16-18 June, 2020.
This year we held three regional deep dive sessions focusing on the development of the inclusive insurance market in specific countries in Emerging Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our Best Practice Groups (BPGs) also met to continue their ongoing discussions and projects. More information is available on the event's page here.

Previous JMM

The JMM 2019 took place in Luxembourg. The meeting’s focus in 2019 was on moving the market forward to close the protection gap and serve an estimated 5 billion people worldwide who are still exposed to daily and catastrophic risks without an insurance safety net.
The agenda was characterised by a mix of member-led presentations, discussions and workshops on hot topics in the inclusive insurance space with the aim of identifying concrete strategies to reaching unserved people across the world, as well as facilitating knowledge exchange and peer to peer learning amongst our members.
Members can download the 2019 JMM report and all previous ones from the members' area.
