Last change to register! Optimising distribution workshop and field trip in Johannesburg

Friday, August 26, 2016

The Microinsurance Network is organising a one day workshop on the theme of distribution in the low-cost insurance environment to take place in Johannesburg on September 28, 2016. The event titled "How to optimise distribution in the low-cost insurance environment?" will bring together insurance professionals from across Africa to inspire new approaches, share experiences and fill knowledge gaps on optimising distribution for insurance products targeting low-income customers.

The Microinsurance Network strongly believes that microinsurance can be profitable and sustainable, whilst providing clients with valuable protection against risk. However, the sector is still facing several challenges and there is a need for insurance professionals to learn from experiences of others whilst maintaining their competitive edge. The workshop will aim to facilitate a learning and networking experience that will provide insurers, wishing to expand their microinsurance activities, with new insights and business knowledge in the area of distribution, and build new industry relationships to help boost their businesses.

In addition to the workshop, a half-day field trip will be organised on September 27 to enable participants to visit a low-income insurance branch and field activation site. There will be the opportunity to speak directly with insurance agents to gain a more in-depth understanding of how distribution works in practice. The field trip will close with an informal reception at the Country Club (Auckland Park) to allow for a relaxed debrief and networking event.

Whilst participation to this event is open to everyone, Microinsurance Network members will benefit from a 30% discount. More information on the event's page
