We are thrilled to announce our upcoming event on resilience for MSMEs through Climate Risk Insurance taking place 24-25 March in Makati City, Manila, Philippines.
This regional event will allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of the climate risks faced by emerging micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Asia and the role that insurance can play in transferring, managing and mitigating these risks to enable more resilient households, communities and economies. We will look at what is needed in terms of regulatory frameworks and discuss the opportunities ahead for governments and the private sector.
The event entails a one-and-a-half-day Public-Private Dialogue (PPD), where regulators from a number of key Asian countries, as well as industry representatives and national and international experts will provide key insights on the subject.
The PPD is organised by the MEFIN Network, the Microinsurance Network and GIZ RFPI Asia, in partnership with Pioneer and will be hosted at the Pioneer House in Makati City (Pioneer House Makati, 108 Paseo de Roxas, Legaspi Village, Makati City 1229, Philippines).
On 24 March, event participants are also invited to the Finals Night of a Pioneer-led photography and design competition, which is part of their “Heart for Tomorrow” campaign designed to spread the message of insurance to university and college students.
The PPD and dinner are free of charge but attendance is by invitation only. If you would like to attend and have not been invited, please get in touch with the Microinsurance Network at email@example.com.
