Our next Expert Forum will look into funeral insurance and whether it can be used as a gateway for emerging consumers to purchasing other forms of insurance. It will focus on key questions:

  • What is the uptake of funeral insurance around the world?
  • Why do people - including in wealthier countries - buy funeral insurance?
  • Are purchases in emerging markets driven by different factors?
  • In the end, can these funeral products be used as an entry point to other types of insurance products and services for low- and lower middle-income families?

Join our panel, featuring Mark Robertson, Strategy Manager of Hollard, Russell Haresign, Africa Head of Operations of BIMA, and Erlend Berg, Lecturer of the Department of Economics at the University of Bristol in the UK, along with moderator Raimund Snyders, Partner at LeapFrog Investments on Tuesday, 28 August at 3pm CEST!
