Expert Forum
Language: English

The Microinsurance Network, with support from Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A), are organising an Expert Forum on "Underestanding donor engagements in microinsurance, which will take place on Thursday April 28 at 13:00 GMT. It will provide an insider´s perspective on donors operating in the microinsurance space, including their priority development areas for funding, how much they allocate to microinsurance projects and what opportunities they have identified and how these feed into their strategic focus moving forward.

Last year, the Network commissioned a study carried out by LMG Consulting, to better understand which sectors, countries and products donors were allocating their resources to, with a view to grasping donor engaement in insurance, as an area of develpment and financial inclusion. The results of this survey will form the basis for an interactive discussion on donors and microinsurance.

Guest speakers from the World Bank, USAID and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) will provide insights into their priorities and approaches for the coming years, touching on aspects of creating an enabling environment, resilience and initiatives in health microinsurance, amongst others.

This event has now ended.
