VanderSat is a leading global provider of satellite-observed water, temperature and vegetation data products and services. By providing soil moisture data at field level with a long historical record and without cloud interference, VanderSat enables the development of scalable index insurance products. Soil moisture is a direct measurement of the water available for plant uptake and therefore a critical parameter to estimate agricultural losses due to drought.

In this member-exclusive webinar, Lexy Ratering Arntz and Berend de Jong will demonstrate VanderSat’s unique soil moisture data set and its added value in parametric drought insurance for smallholder farmers.

Panel:
- Lexy Ratering Arntz, Head of Impact Strategy, VanderSat, Netherlands

- Berend de Jong, CCO, VanderSat, Netherlands

- Moderator: Katharine Pulvermacher, Executive Director, Microinsurance Network, Luxembourg
