June Member Meeting to be replaced by virtual sessions
Due to the current Covid-19-related public health situation, our full support of making every effort to contain the spread of the virus, and our concern for our members' well-being and safety, we have taken the decision to replace this year’s JMM with virtual events to the extent that is possible and meaningful. Therefore, please keep the dates set aside for the meeting clear in your calendars.
Registration is now open to all members on the JMM page in the members' area. Anyone who had paid to attend the event has been contacted separately and reimbursed in full.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us.
Our 2020 annual Network member meeting (JMM 2020) will be taking place virtually on 16-18 June, 2020. We will send out the registration for the specific sessions in due course. Please note this is a member-only event. If you are not a member but wish to join this event, please contact the MiN team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year's theme will be focussed on how we can leverage technology to reach the estimated 5 billion people worldwide who are still exposed to daily and catastrophic risks without an adequate insurance safety net. We will explore some of the current challenges and success stories in InsurTech and how these can help us to close the protection gap across emerging Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The sessions will include regional deep dives and Best Practice Group discussions. These will constitute a chance to exchange expertise and have some frank discussions on the barriers to and opportunities for driving the sector forward in key topic areas such as InsurTech, building resilience to climate change, improving health outcomes, and identifying how insurance principles and services can help MSMEs manage their risks.
